Growing up as the oldest sibling in a bustling household with four brothers and two sisters, I learned early on that every family member has a unique story to tell—and a completely different version of how the living room window got broken. It is this lifelong appreciation for family dynamics, deep-rooted moral values, and the unbreakable bond between siblings that breathes heart into my fiction. I write character-driven mysteries that feel less like a dark, gritty thriller and more like an unfolding quest. Set against the beautiful, lake-dappled backdrop of Otter Tail County, Minnesota, my debut series, The Larson Chronicles, follows a large family of six children navigating a web of local secrets in the fictional small town of Clearview. Because I believe that truth is best discovered through multiple perspectives, my mysteries allow different family members to take turns narrating the adventure. From the sharp observations of the fifteen-year-old eldest child down to the innocent wonder of the six-year-old—who gets a little storytelling help from Mom and Dad—each book offers a fresh, wholesome, and endearing window into a mystery that a family can only solve together. When I’m not mapping out clues or exploring the hidden histories of small Midwestern towns, you can usually find me with a pen in hand, a warm mug of coffee nearby, and a stack of well-loved books by my side.
